Life Begins With A Flash is a national initiative committed to legally and culturally affirming a foundational truth:
Human life begins at conception.
We believe that every human life deserves recognition, protection, and dignity — from the very first moment it exists. And we’re here to make that belief a reality in law, in policy, and in hearts and minds across the nation.
Why “With a Flash”?
At the very moment of conception, science has discovered a literal zinc flash — a visible burst of light that occurs when sperm meets egg. It’s not symbolic. It’s biological. And it inspired our name and our message:
Life begins with a flash — and it must be defended from that moment forward.
To pass a one-sentence bill that will legally define when life begins:
“Human life shall be legally recognized as beginning at the moment of conception.”
This simple but powerful definition is the cornerstone for all life-affirming policies. Without it, laws are built on sand. With it, we can build a culture and legal system that fully protects the unborn.
We envision a nation where
- Every child is protected from the moment of conception
- Candidates publicly affirm life through the Life Begins With A Flash Pledge
- Citizens are informed, inspired, and equipped to stand for life
- Science, ethics, and law align to recognize the humanity of the unborn
What We Do
Public Awareness Campaigns
Through digital outreach, events, and grassroots organizing, we’re making sure the message of life reaches millions.
Legislative Advocacy
We’re working with legal experts and elected officials to introduce and support our one-sentence bill in state and federal legislatures.
Fundraising for Impact
Every dollar we raise helps us promote the bill, engage new supporters, and spread this simple truth far and wide.
Candidate Engagement
We invite candidates to take the Life Begins With A Flash Pledge, declaring their support for life at conception and providing a platform for them to share that pledge publicly.
Why It Matters
- A child can be protected in one state and discarded in another.
- A baby can be mourned after miscarriage yet aborted at the same stage.
- Human life is debated instead of defended.
Who We Are
We are a team of citizens, parents, pastors, scientists, lawyers, and lawmakers who believe one sentence can change the conversation — and the country.
We come from different backgrounds and beliefs, but we’re united by one conviction:
Life begins at conception — and it’s time our laws say so.
